Anchorage Youth Vote

Anchorage Youth Vote is an initiative of the League of Women Voters of Anchorage (AK), with support and funding from its donors and from League Members and the League of Women Voters of Alaska.

Mission

Our mission is to provide a non-partisan venue for empowering youth to vote and be involved in the democratic process. Youth Vote is dedicated to providing young people, teachers, educators and the community with the relevant tools to reach this goal. We share a vision with the Spirit of Youth Coalition that all Alaska’s youth are included, heard, and empowered.

Our Work

Our work this year has included running mock elections, producing candidate forums, creating videos and psa’s, presenting at bullying prevention forums, hosting candidate meet and greets, and attending this summer’s League of Women Voters of the US Convention.

Some members of Anchorage Youth Vote travelled to the League of Women Voter’s National Convention this year.  They are grateful to both the LWV of Anchorage, the LWV of Alaska, and individual members who made this trip to Convention possible.
