Today is Elizabeth Peratrovich Day and many groups have organized events celebrating and recognizing her life and achievements.

From 2-3pm today, UAA Native Student Services, NSS, has a Zoom discussion titled “Elizabeth Peratrovich Day Native Values Discussion”. They are celebrating the life and achievements of Elizabeth Peratrovich, member of the Tlingit nation and civil rights activist. The discussion topic is the Tlingit value of ‘Be Strong in mind, body, spirit’.

5-7pm TODAY: Celebrate Elizabeth Peratrovich Day with Molly of Denali and her creators!

LIVE AND VIRTUAL EVENT: Celebrate Elizabeth Peratrovich Day with Molly of Denali and her creators! – Feb 16 – Alaska Public Media

Molly of Denali and Alaska Public Media have a fun free event that you may attend either Virtual or Live at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, today 5-7PM. This event includes games and activities for kids, as well as an opportunity to meet Molly.

At the live event only, the first 100 kids will receive a gift bag and Molly Activity packs will be raffled. Masks are required regardless of age, following the COVID-19 safety protocols put in place by the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Light refreshments will be served.
