OUR LEADERSHIP
The League of Women Voters of Anchorage board consists of our officers, six elected members, and up to six appointed members. At our annual meeting each year, members vote to elect three board members who will serve for two years.
After the election, the board can also choose to appoint up to six additional directors if needed to help keep our work moving forward. These appointed directors serve for one year, until the next annual meeting. Our leadership team is deeply rooted in the Anchorage community and has dedicated years to civic engagement and voter education.

Board of Directors Meetings
All members of LWV Anchorage are welcome to attend our Board of Directors meetings! We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. If you’d like to attend, drop us a note and we’ll send you the Zoom link.
Bylaws and Member Handbook
Bylaws are reviewed each year. If the committee recommends changes, amendments are presented to the members at the annual meeting for a vote. When the first three articles of the LWVUS Bylaws are amended, state and local leagues are required to amend their bylaws to conform. Article XII, Section 1(c) of the LWAV Anchorage Bylaws permits the board, by a majority vote, to amend the Bylaws to conform to the LWVUS Bylaws.
