THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL, but vote counting for the Regular Municipal Election is showing there will be a Mayoral Runoff Election on May 14, 2024.
The results of the Regular Municipal Election will not be official until the Assembly meets on April 23, 2024 and certifies the Regular Municipal Election. If it is certified such that a runoff election is required, there will be an official notice of the runoff election on April 28, 2024.
Until then, we are making plans to vote because who wants to assume otherwise and miss the chance. It will be a Vote by Mail election with ballots mailed out to each voter’s residential address on April 30, 2024.
If you will be unable to vote with the ballot mailed to your residential address, you may fill out an application to vote at a temporary address or vote by email or fax. There are deadlines for these applications to be received and processed by the Municipality of Anchorage Elections office. If you know you will be unable to vote from a ballot mailed to your residence address, make your move now so you do not miss any deadlines or find your paperwork stuck in a pile with other last minute paperwork.
